Traditional Bread BVI
BVI’s cassava bread also called “Bong Bong” is flat bread prepared on a griddle traditionally heated with coal and eaten by itself or with a few slices of avocado pear. Bong Bong goes down well with a cup of steaming hot bush tea. Visitors can also learn to make Bong Bong and indulge in the delightful taste thereafter. Indigenous Herbal T eas & Spices
Providing a calming aroma, BVI’s organic herbal teas include spearmint, peppermint, sweet basil, lemongrass, eucalyptus, sage, marjoram and tarragon which are all locally grown and creatively packaged. Locally made spices consist of all-purpose seasonings made up of local dried herbs and salt from Salt Island. Salt-free seasoning is also available in combination with celery parsley, chives and rosemary. Other organic spices available include nutmeg and cinnamon.

Health Retreats

Camp Turtledove
Camp Turtledove is a youth diabetes summer camp hosted by the BVI Diabetes Association for youths affected with diabetes ages 5 - 18 years of age for a one week annually. Family vacation packages are also offered for parents while children are at camp.
